NDIS Services Across Queensland

Offices in Rasmussen and Park Ridge. Working across South East Queensland, North Queensland and the Darling Downs.

A Queensland provider with a Queensland footprint

GOTLEHS CARE is a registered NDIS provider with offices at Suite 1010/1255 Riverway Dr, Rasmussen, and 338 Waller Road, Park Ridge. Our NDIS provider number is 405 358 3296 and our ABN is 15 676 757 387.

We deliver supports across eight regions: Logan, Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Townsville and Cairns. That’s a deliberate footprint rather than a marketing one. Plenty of provider websites list every postcode in the state and work out the details later, which is how participants end up on a waiting list for a service that was never realistically going to reach them.

For Townsville and Cairns, that means local workers and local rosters. Those regions cannot be serviced from Park Ridge, so we treat local staffing as part of the service rather than a detail to work out later.

Travel time is the reason. A worker driving ninety minutes to a shift is a worker who arrives late, leaves early, and bills a meaningful share of your funding for the privilege. We’d rather cover a smaller area properly.

What we deliver across Queensland

All ten of our registered support types are available in every region we service. Nothing is metropolitan-only.

Accommodation and tenancy assistance. Assist life stages, transition and support. Assistance with personal activities. Travel and transport. Development of daily living and life skills. Physical wellbeing activities. Social and community participation. Therapeutic supports. Specialised driver training. Assistance animals and other innovative supports.

What varies by region is how a support gets delivered rather than whether it’s available. Community participation in Toowoomba looks different to community participation in Southport, because the community is different. Transport in the Sunshine Coast hinterland involves distances that transport in Woodridge does not.

Who we support in Queensland

We work with participants of all ages and across all disability types, including intellectual disability, autism, psychosocial disability, physical disability, sensory impairment and acquired brain injury.

We take participants whose plans are agency-managed, plan-managed or self-managed. Because we’re a registered provider, we can invoice NDIA-managed plans, which unregistered providers cannot. That matters more than most participants realise until they try to book someone.

Referrals come from participants themselves, families, support coordinators, plan managers, hospital discharge teams and allied health clinicians. You don’t need a referral to contact us.

How we work across the regions

  1. Workers are based in the regions they service. We don’t run people out of Park Ridge to the Sunshine Coast and bill you for the drive.

  2. We build a small consistent team around each participant rather than a rotating roster, usually a primary worker plus a backup who has met you and read your plan.

  3. Where a participant moves between our regions, and people do, we try to keep the same worker with you. Continuity through a house move or a change in circumstances is worth more than almost anything else we can offer.

  4. And we tell you our real capacity on the first call. If we can’t start when you need us to, you’ll hear it then rather than after a fortnight of silence.

The problems participants face in Queensland

Queensland is decentralised in a way the eastern seaboard states south of it are not. Supports thin out fast once you leave the metropolitan corridor, and a participant in Toowoomba has meaningfully fewer options than one in Chermside.

Allied health waiting lists across the state are long, particularly for occupational therapy and paediatric speech pathology. Funding sits unused in plans while people wait.

Public transport gaps shape everything. The outer growth corridors of Logan, Ipswich and the northern Gold Coast have filled with housing much faster than they’ve filled with services or bus routes.

Provider turnover is high, and participants describe explaining their own routine to a different worker every few weeks. In personal care especially, that isn’t a minor inconvenience.

And distance costs money. Travel charging is legitimate under the NDIS pricing arrangements, but a participant who picks a provider based across town can lose a real share of their funding to a car before any support is delivered.

What we do about it

We keep our footprint to what we can staff properly, and we say no when we can’t. That’s a smaller business than it could be and a better service than it would otherwise be.

We’re upfront about travel charges before you sign anything, and if our worker’s drive to your address would take an unreasonable share of your funding, we’ll tell you to find someone closer.

We plan funding across the whole plan period rather than shift by shift, so a participant finds out in March that transport funding won’t reach December, not in September.

And we work with what exists locally. Every region we cover has neighbourhood centres, libraries, clubs and community groups that never appear on a provider’s activity list because they aren’t disability specific. Those are usually the better option.

Find out if we service your area

The quickest way to find out is to ring and give us your suburb. Call 0425 799 687 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or email info@gotlehscare.com.au. If we can’t reach you, we’ll say so.

Frequently asked questions

If your question isn’t here, ring us on 0425 799 687. We’d rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Which parts of Queensland does GOTLEHS CARE service?

Logan, Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Townsville and Cairns. We’re based at Park Ridge in Logan. If your suburb sits outside those regions, ring us on 0425 799 687 and we’ll give you an honest answer rather than taking the referral and working it out later.

Do you service North Queensland?

Yes. Townsville and Cairns are part of our service footprint, with supports delivered by workers recruited and rostered locally in those regions. If your suburb is outside our listed areas, ring us and we’ll give you a straight answer about whether we can cover it.

Are all your services available in every region?

Yes. All ten registered support types are available everywhere we work. What changes between regions is how a support is delivered, because distances, transport and local community options are different in each.

Will I be charged for a worker travelling to my suburb?

Worker travel is billable under the NDIS pricing arrangements, and we’ll explain what it means for your specific address before you commit. If it would take an unreasonable share of your funding, we’ll tell you and suggest a provider closer to you.

Can I keep the same worker if I move to another region you cover?

We’ll try. Moving between our regions is common and continuity through a house move matters a great deal, so we treat keeping the same worker as a priority rather than a nice idea.
